At Savage Barbell Club, Inc. we believe in training in the trenches as a team, as a crew, as a family.  We believe that the best way to get stronger is to do it together. We believe that in the united pursuit of strength, vulnerability is rewarded, creativity is ignited, and true power is developed.  We actively cultivate an environment where questions are encouraged, risks are part of the process, and the limits of the human body are explored and expanded. While embracing an Old-School Powerlifting training style, we incorporate new approaches to maximize movement, power, and recovery to build a complete strength-training program that prepares our lifters for life as well as the platform.

Our programming incorporates proven methodologies in the areas of breathing, priming, posture, movement and recovery to produce a one-of-a-kind experience, uniquely customizable to individual goals while still maintaining a co-operative team environment.  Our proprietary C.A.L.M. Method and the Savage Pillars are the foundational principles upon which everything else is built.

Each coach at Savage engages in team training, encouraging lifters of different experience and strength levels to engage in a process that develops strength from the inside out.  Lifters learn to ask questions, identify and eliminate their own limits and find creative solutions for strengthening weak-points and increasing power output.  The process people engage at within the walls of Savage Barbell Club has a direct impact on their lives as strength and power are redefined; challenges are overcome and tools for dealing with perceived threat are honed week after week.

Our coaches seek to create a state of R.E.S.T. from a place of C.A.L.M.  Training in the trenches from a state of R.E.S.T. allows us to Redefine threat, limitations, and fear; Equip our members to do and become the very best they are capable of; to Synergize the information we discover along the way within the context of our C.A.L.M. Method and Savage Pillars; and in doing so, participate in the Transformation of each person who comes through our doors and joins our team.

This intentional state of R.E.S.T. allows us to raise the bar in every training session; filtering out what doesn’t work and embracing what does.  It creates an environment where gym members become friends, and friends become family, and family becomes a crew – actively contributing to one another’s growth and success.  This level of emotional, mental and physical engagement builds strong ties and adds to the richness of the process; while also empowering each individual to take what they learn in the context of the training sessions and apply it to other situations, circumstances and relationships. It is also, just one more way, we are making the strength community, the strength of the community.
